Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions 1st Jan 2021
1. By paying a deposit you are entering into a legal agreement between You The Customer/s and The Yorkshire Wedding Company Ltd / TYWC Ltd. (The Supplier),
2. If You (the customer) are booking Direct with The Yorkshire Wedding Company (The supplier) then a Returnable Damage Bond will be required in addition to your order. This will be returned to you on satisfactory inspection of the goods after the event. Please ask for clarification.
3. If You (the customer) are making an order with us via one of the venues, then a log of credit/debit card details will be required as a security measure/deposit and you agree that any damages or losses to the hired items will be deducted from your credit/debit card.
4. Please ensure that you have checked your requirements thoroughly before placing the order and that you have entered the colour, type and amount of each item you require (Including additional chair covers for the registrar if you are having a civil ceremony) and that any special requirements have been listed.
5. An initial non returnable deposit of 20% is required to confirm the booking date and enter into this agreement. Any outstanding balance will be required no later than 12 weeks (possibly later if agreed by TYWC Ltd) prior to the event and an order cannot be changed or cancelled after this date. If payment is not FULLY received by this time then TYWC reserve the right to cancel the event and retain any monies paid, If the event is cancelled prior to the 12 weeks then a refund minus the deposit will be given as a percentage (more than 26 weeks notice = Refund 75% / 25 to 18 weeks before = Refund 50% / 17 to 13 weeks before = Refund 25% / 12 weeks or less = No Refund ). This is due to the fact that most Weddings/Events are booked a year or more in advance and we only allow 2 events per day to allow us to maintain our high standards and not “Rush” a set up. This means we have to give or refuse work on dates that already have bookings. Therefore if an event is cancelled or moved it is highly unlikely for us to be able to refill that date at short notice. This includes any changes to the date of the event. We will in certain circumstances allow a booking to change date (Once ONLY) as long as we are given 3 months notice. Any other changes will incur a £50 admin fee.
6. We require 3 hours MINIMUM to set up a room as this ensures that our quality standards are kept high and any special requirements can be catered for and will require access 15 minutes after the event finishes to collect the items which will take upto 90 minutes.
7. All Items will be delivered, set up and checked on the morning of your event or the night before if the room is available ( Photographs & Videos of the finished room will be taken and kept on file for Legal reference )
8. Once set up we will require a signature from either The Bride or Groom or Venue Management to certify that we have supplied all items requested and that they accept full responsibility for any damages or losses during the event from start of set up to the finish of set down.
9. ALL items will be retrieved and checked again at the finish of your event at which time any damages or losses will be logged and photographed. Any damages will be notified immediately to the venue and then to you within 48 hours along with the amount to be deducted from the deposit or charged to replace the damaged/missing items. .
10. Any damages or losses will be deducted from your Damage Bond ( NOT the Total Invoice Amount) and the remainder forwarded to You (the customer) within 14 days. Any damages exceeding this amount will be invoiced to you within 14 days of your event for payment within 28 days, after which it will be passed on to our legal team who will start court proceedings. However this is extremely rare and we try to prevent this if possible
11. The Yorkshire Wedding Company (the supplier) cannot be held responsible for events beyond their control. Or being unable to fulfil any order due to a 3rd Party (i.e. Caricaturist, Magician, Casino, Food Services or Car Hire) as they are only acting as a liaison NOT an Agent and therefore pass all payments on to them in full.
